Did someone just tell you how “Sulzer Pumps is one of the world’s leading pump manufacturers, specializing in centrifugal pumps etc. and how their products are internationally reputed for their technical excellence” ?
Well, ask them if they too have either been bribed by the old player in this game (of bribery) or were they just mistaken by the promotional distraction Sulzer Pumps’ parent company Wartsila tends to create in order to conveniently hide out from the reality of how mediocre, rather low standard products it manufactures.
We say so because apparently Wartsila has failed to meet the benchmark standards set by the European Commission for Industrial Standard. And instead of improvising its products – Sulzer pumps, that is, Wartsila yet again succumbs to bribery, since it was last caught up in Sweden’s biggest ever bribery prosecution.
Allegedly, Wartsila has bribed the authority in question to modify their rules and regulations just so that the sub-standard Sulzer Pumps’ shortcomings remain hidden and are licensed to be distributed in the market.

Wartsila’s notoriety not just stops here as there’s more to the story – Wartsila has even managed to lobby successfully in this regard simply by bribing the concerned legislatures (clearly those who were in the positions of changing the accord of the set rules and regulations to be met compulsorily) as well!
Wartsila is not new to the notorious and worldwide despised act of bribery as indeed it is one such company that has made history in the recent times by being caught up in Sweden’s most scandalous bribery trial.
